Big Weekend Ahead

I just had to share this with you: We've got a fantastic weekend ahead of us, but we will be packing it in AND WE NEED PRAYER!  I will be the keynote speaker for a women's conference in South Alabama on Saturday.  It is entitled "Celebrate Life" and I can't wait to share that message with those sweet ladies!  Then, Sunday morning, Jay and I will be preaching the sermon at both services (a message on commitment/marriage) at the church his Dad pastors in Montgomery and then at the church his sister and brother-in-law attend in Birmingham (the city where we met and went to college) on Sunday night.  It is always very special to be back South--we can't wait!

If you are in Alabama this weekend, March 9th and 10th, come see us, and if you are not, we would love your prayers, particularly for my voice to hold out and for our travels--James will be with us too.

God continues to allow us new avenues in which to share our lives with people.  We are still in awe of this extremely cathartic and redemptive opportunity.  Like any thing of great value, it is not without its costs and considerations.  As we move forward in this realm of ministry, there are many questions, not the least of which is how in the world do we do this logistically!?  I can hardly walk on my own, much less travel across the country alone, so Jay and I are kind of a package deal, and of course, we have a 5 year old child to consider.  Nonetheless, we truly believe that we have a calling on our lives that has become a desire in our hearts, and thankfully, God empowers us to fulfill the desires we have from Him, though it usually looks different than we thought it would.  Whew!  Lots to consider and even more to pray about.

It's a journey of faith, like we are all on.  Thank you for journeying with us.
