The Trailer Soundtrack {by Page CXVI}

Many of you told us how much you loved the music in our short film trailer -- (please view it here if you haven't yet).  We're so glad you did because we are likewise OBSESSED with this re-imagined version of the hymn, "Nothing but the Blood of Jesus" by Page CXVI ("Page 116").  Hearing it puts a lump in our throat every time--it was just the perfect fit for the trailer!

I've heard that pretty much all Christian theology can be summed up in a hymnal.  However, like most extremely powerful mediums, hymns can lose their potency over repetition and time.  That's why re-imagining them in the respectful and delicate way Page CXVI does is so important.  Changing the music forces the listener to really consider these well-known lyrics anew, and the experience can be revelatory. 

“What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus....
This is all my hope and peace,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
This is all my righteousness,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.”

We first heard Page CXVI play at our church, Bel Air Pres, last summer, and we immediately bought the pack of all their "Hymns" CD's.  These have become the invigorating soundtrack to our Sunday mornings, and we love it!  Check out their website here (http://pagecxvi.com/) and support their music!
