"Flowers for Katherine": And the Winner Is...
Friends, thanks for whole-heartedly supporting the Hope Heals Art project. We are so encouraged by the response!
The Oh Joy! giveaway had 372 comments, and Hope Heals' little giveaway had 123 entries! To find our winner, we compiled and numbered all the blog comments, all the Tweets, then all the Facebook shares, and finally all the Pinterest re-pins (whew, that's a lot of social media, but we wanted to cover all the bases), then generated a random number...
We're so tickled at the randomly-chosen winner (FYI, she entered in all 4 ways). What's incredible is that we happen to know the winner, and she has truly given us hope through her music for years, now we get to engage that 2 Corinthians 1 idea of the "cycle of hope"--aka"hoping it forward"--to her!
ANNA SAILORS is the winner of the "Flowers for Katherine" giveaway!!!
{check out her hope-inducing musical talents here--I actually happened to be in the audience for this very song! I've played this Youtube SO many times--gorgeous, Anna!}
Thanks to our dear friend, Mimi Stevens, for sharing this incredible quote that so embodies what Hope Heals Art is all about...
"As I listen to the silence, I learn that my feelings about art and myfeelings about the Creator of the Universe are inseparable. To try to talk about art and about Christianity is for me one and the same thing, and it means attempting to share the meaning of my life, what gives it, for me, its tragedy and its glory." - Madeleine L'Engle"
Keep spreading the word, and share this project of "hope made visible"
with your friends! Currently, we've got more limited-edition prints of "Flowers for Katherine", but once they're gone, they're gone. Consider supporting the ministry of Hope Heals by purchasing your print here!
